“The DIVINE LITURGY of ST. JOHN CHRYSOSTOM & THE GREAT DOXOLOGY by ELENI TRAGANAS is a most welcome addition to the choral music repertoire for the Greek Orthodox Church in America. It is based on both traditional melodies, occasionally varied, and original melodies of especially fine quality. The harmonization is skillful and is primarily 19th century in style, but frequently modal, reflecting the mode of the traditional chant. There is a wide variety of textures, including unison, block chords, and polyphonic writing both imitative and non-imitative. The setting of the text exhibits a close fit of words and music. A mature choir is required to fully realize the beauty and spirituality of this liturgy. I give it high marks and enthusiastically recommend it”
